Why MuseWork Is Putting Professional Execution First?

Over the past few months, we’ve noticed the AI assistant market splitting into two very different directions.

Products like Manus, Codex, and Genspark focus on professional execution. Their value is clear: give them a complex task, and they help you get serious work done.

Another category focuses on everyday assistance—managing calendars and emails, handling quick communication, and taking care of personal tasks. These products feel closer to personal assistants, though they usually place less emphasis on complex professional work.

When we started building MuseWork, we wanted both.

We wanted it to handle serious work while also understanding you over time. We built long-term memory, continuous conversations, and even an “employment” relationship. Instead of creating a new chat for every task, you could keep working with the same assistant, much like working with the same person.

The hardest problem was organizing long-term context without overwhelming the model. We’ve now solved much of that at the system level.

But we also learned that these two directions create very different product demands.

People using AI for professional work naturally want speed, parallel execution, project organization, and clear control over multiple tasks. People using AI for calendars, email, or everyday communication usually need a lighter and simpler experience, without the cost and complexity required for deep professional work.

Trying to emphasize both equally made MuseWork harder to understand.

The value people recognize fastest is still straightforward: help me get meaningful work done.

Memory, personal understanding, and natural collaboration matter deeply—but their value becomes clear only after the assistant has proven that it can reliably deliver.

Users know they are working with software. A manufactured personality alone doesn’t create a genuine sense of collaboration. For us, the most meaningful form of “human touch” comes from remembering what matters, understanding how someone works, respecting their boundaries, and becoming easier to work with over time.

We’ve also been inspired by products like Town Assistant, which are exploring their own balance between professional execution and a more personal assistant experience.

This learning has shaped the latest version of MuseWork: stronger professional execution first, with memory and natural collaboration built into the experience.
