Tips for Using Essay Writer?

Use clearer requirements, suitable paper settings, focused source ranges, and a final review to improve your results.

Essay Writer generates results based on your five-step setup. The clearer your settings are, the less revision you will usually need later. The following tips will help you configure your task more efficiently.

1. Upload the Original Assignment Instructions First

If you have an assignment brief, grading rubric, or formatting template, upload the original file in Step 1 instead of summarizing it from memory.

Be sure to preserve details such as:

  • The paper question or permitted topic range;
  • The target word count;
  • Required sections;
  • The citation style and number of references;
  • The deadline or required submission format;
  • Required theories, cases, datasets, or readings.

The original instructions give Essay Writer far more useful guidance than a general request such as “Write an essay for me.”

2. Add Clear Boundaries When the Topic Is Broad

If you only have a general direction, use the topic field to define the subject, time period, geographical scope, and central question.

For example, instead of entering:

Social media marketing

Try:

Analyze how social media marketing on short-form video platforms has influenced the purchase intentions of Generation Z consumers in China since 2020, with particular attention to content credibility and interactivity.

This gives Essay Writer a clearer basis for developing a focused structure.

3. Match the Paper Type to the Assignment Goal

The selected type affects the default structure and available word-count options:

  • Choose Argumentative Essay when you need to state and defend a position;
  • Choose Research Paper when you need to investigate a question systematically;
  • Choose Literature Review when you need to synthesize existing research;
  • Choose Personal Statement when the task is based on your own experience;
  • Choose Custom Paper Type when the required format is not listed.

Do not select “Research Paper” simply because it sounds more formal. Follow the instructor’s actual requirements.

4. Distinguish the Interface Language from the Paper Language

The MuseWork interface language and the Writing Language selected in Step 3 are separate settings.

If the paper must be written in English, select English explicitly. If you use Auto-detect, confirm the detected language again on the review screen in Step 5.

5. Make Custom Style Instructions Actionable

When selecting a custom writing style, avoid vague requests such as “Make it more advanced” or “Make it sound human.” Instead, define the tone, argument structure, and language constraints. For example:

Use a formal academic tone appropriate for graduate-level work. Begin each section with a clear claim, compare the available evidence, and avoid conversational language and generic summaries.

6. Use Automatic Citation Matching When You Are Unsure

If the uploaded assignment brief or institutional template already specifies the citation requirements, select Match Assignment Requirements Automatically.

If the instructor explicitly requires APA 7, MLA, GB/T 7714, or another style, select it directly and verify the setting on the Step 5 review screen.

7. Choose an Appropriate Publication Date Range

For fast-moving topics such as emerging technologies, digital platforms, or policy changes, choose a more recent starting year.

For theoretical or historical topics, enable Allow Essential Classic Sources so that foundational studies are not excluded. Newer does not always mean better; relevance and quality still matter.

8. Include Only the Visual Elements You Need

Images, charts and tables, and quotations are not added automatically. Select them only when they support the assignment:

  • Charts and tables are useful for data comparisons and trend analysis;
  • Images may be appropriate for art, design, case, or visual-work analysis;
  • Direct quotations may be needed for close reading or analysis of a particular argument.

Do not add visual elements simply to make the paper appear more substantial.

9. Review the Setup Carefully Before Generating

Step 5 is your final check before generation begins. Confirm that:

  • The paper type is correct;
  • The writing language and style match the assignment;
  • The word count is appropriate;
  • The citation style, number of references, and publication date range are correct;
  • At least one of Word or PDF is selected.

If anything is wrong, click a completed step to return and make changes. You do not need to restart the process.

10. Verify Key Content After Generation

Before submitting the paper, check:

  • Whether the title and research scope remain aligned;
  • Whether every in-text citation has a matching reference entry;
  • Whether key facts, data, and source details are accurate;
  • Whether the paper follows the institutional template and instructor’s requirements;
  • Whether any authentic experimental data, interview material, or personal experience still needs to be supplied by you.

Essay Writer can reduce the time required for organization and drafting, but academic review remains essential before submission.
